Thanks to our fantastic Booster Club volunteers, sponsors, donors and guests, the Gala 2016 on January 30 put the fun in fundraising for Churchill Athletics. The evening at Bar Louie with 15 screens of sports, great music from a pro DJ, silent auction, live auction, food, drink and conversation resulted in over $14,000 net

The life of Carolyn C. Mattingly was commemorated with the launch of the Luv u Project on November 5. Carolyn, a former CHS Booster Club President and active parent in the beginning of the Club in addition to her many other community commitments, lost her life in a tragic event
Over the summer, the Stadium Concessions Stand was cleaned, painted, stocked and organized by intrepid Booster Club volunteers. Hamburgers and hot dogs cooked on the new grill have been flying out to eager customers. The stand had a great first few home games with cheer, poms and JV football parent
The Luv u Project
Carolyn Mattingly was President of the WCHS Booster Club in 2004, 2005 and 2006 and a pivotal leader in the early years of the establishment of the club. Often signing her notes with “Luv u,” Carolyn showed her warmth and genuine concern for making a difference-through her countless commitments
To train our leaders of the future, the Booster Club sponsored the CHS Fall Captains Lunch on September 18. Athletic Director Scott Rivinius spoke about ways to support their teammates and how to be a positive role model on and off the field. The students enjoyed the lunch from Bethesda
