About Us

The Winston Churchill High School Booster Club is a 501(c)(3) volunteer organization established to support all school-recognized athletics teams and to promote school spirit at Churchill. Our organization’s primary purpose is to raise necessary funds to supplement the insufficient County athletics budget allocation so our student-athletes have the equipment and facilities they need for safe and competitive athletics. We raise these funds through membership donations and corporate sponsorships and other fundraising initiatives like our School Store and Concessions as well as events like our annual Bulldog Bash and auction (formerly called the Booster Club Gala). We also seek to expand our membership and volunteer corps with new faces and ideas every year.

Please join us and let us know if you would like to become a Booster Club volunteer.  Volunteering with the Booster Club is a great way to support all our sports teams and the community and meet new people!

MCPS Booster Guidelines

Montgomery County Public Schools strongly recommend that club funds be used exclusively for charitable and educational purposes to organize, establish, promote, and support all athletic programs equitably through clear and specific guidelines for the distribution of funds in accordance with MCPS policies and the provisions of Title IX.

Fundraising

Funds raised by booster clubs may not be used to purchase personal items for any teams or individuals, including, but not limited to, shoes, swim suits, socks, mouth guards, or any items retained by the student.

Meetings

Winston Churchill High School Booster Club meetings are a great way to meet fellow WCHS Booster Club members, share ideas, and find out what’s going on with the athletic programs. Meetings are generally held on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in Room 156A (interior room in the back corner of the Cafeteria on the 1st floor past the gym). Please check out our upcoming meeting dates and join us!

Why join the Booster Club?

The Churchill Booster Club affects the lives of every student by providing access to fields, equipment, and facilities related to athletics that are out of reach of regular support by county budgets. Whether your student is an athlete, a participant in PE, or a fan, the Booster Club helps make the experience safer, more competitive, and just more fun by providing important financial and volunteer resources and support. Some recent projects include new swim caps for the swim & dive teams, a large Bulldog-branded tent for the cross-country and track teams, new signage around the stadium and inside leading from the Bulldog to the Main Gym, annual maintenance of the “Senior Wall,” a new ice machine and training table for the athletic trainer, new weight equipment for the school’s weight room, and more.

The Booster Club fosters an active and spirited community by managing the school apparel store (online and in Bulldog Alley), engaging corporate sponsors in the community, operating the indoor and stadium concession stands, and running local Community Nights to encourage the surrounding community to experience and embrace our school.

New projects are always in the works, and this year is no exception. And, the usual challenges remain – How will we provide updated and safer equipment? How will we staff our concession stands and the school spirit store? How can we continue to make the gameday experience fun and safe for all attendees? Who will be there to cheer for our athletes?

YOU have the answers to these questions. Join our team of involved and active parents in addressing these questions, then ask more of your own on how to make our athletic program safer, more challenging, and more fun.  We look forward to working with you.
